Abstract

Monumental Novel of Kateřina Tučková

The latest novel by Kateřina Tučková, Bílá Voda (2022), made great impression on readers and received official recognition as well. After a brief introduction that brings the overview of the previous work of Kateřina Tučková, our article proceeds to its main focus – her latest novel. Besides the plot and forms of narration we analyse the structure of the novel and thorough studies of the subject matter within the preparation stage. In the closing part, the author of the article summarises the reception of the novel by literary critiques and brings his own assessment for further discussions.
