Didactic potential of Sophocles’ drama Oedipus Rex and its application in literary education
The main topic of the drama is found in the question of identity and the degree of control one has over it. The proposed approach works with several excerpts, while pupils are led, through individual concretizations, to a broader interpretation that encourages them to reflect on their own view of human identity.
