The text addresses the Model School Educational Program (MŠVP) for the lower secondary level of primary education, which was published at the beginning of 2025. It presents a critical analysis of the MŠVP, with particular attention to the examination of the table outlining the prescribed curriculum content for each expected learning outcome (OVU). The analysis identifies numerous deficiencies in the model program, including linguistic inaccuracies, vague formulations of curriculum content, inconsistencies between the content and the assigned learning outcomes, factual and terminological errors, excessive generality or, conversely, undue extensiveness of the content, as well as its inappropriateness relative to the pupils’ age group. Overall, the MŠVP is characterized by inconsistency and a lack of systematic structure, which hampers its effectiveness as an inspirational resource for the development of school-based educational programs.
