Abstract

The present comparison focuses on preschool children and their preparation for schooling in a coronavirus crisis. Specifically
the research focuses on children from the Czech Republic and Denmark. We are looking at which components of the child's personality were most developed in the countries, but also at the overall impact on the running of kindergartens. The research is based on a qualitative design where the main research method is a questionnaire that was distributed to teachers. Our complementary method was the analysis of curriculum documents at school and state level. The analysis of the research inquiry was done by coding and then transcribing into meaningful units. The results can serve as a basis for further research in the field or to address similar situations.
