Abstract

We all know how important are mathematics and its applications in all areas of life in today's world. In order for each pupil to achieve a certain satisfactory mathematical development, the beginning of his/her education is extremely important. It is precisely these first experiences and acquired skills that often determine the further motivation for learning mathematics. To understand mathematics well, you need logical thinking, among other things. The authors have attempted to examine the level of logical thinking of children after the first stage of education as well as of students of pre-school and early-school education, future teachers of grades I-III. The research was carried out in September 2017 and March 2018 in the Silesian Voivodeship.
