The use of methods of pedagogical diagnostics in preschool children

The present article focuses on the issue of pedagogical diagnostics in preschool education from the perspective of kindergarten teachers. The article first presents the theoretical background and then the research investigation and its results. The results show that the most frequently used method of pedagogical diagnostics from the perspective of kindergarten teachers is observation, which they often combine with other methods. Thanks to this then they get a comprehensive view of the child's development. The article was written in the preparation of the bachelor's thesis of Magdalena Bečicová, a student of the study programme Teaching for kindergartens, under the supervision of Mgr. Alena Srbená, Ph.D. The added value of this article can also be seen in the deepening of the cooperation between the academic and the student and the preparation of the student for her further professional publishing and possible strengthening of the scientific field of early childhood pedagogy.
